Profile: Ben Emond
Biography
Ben is a farm kid from Gatineau, Québec. He joined the Canadian Forces as a
Trucker in 2001, and is currently posted to Camp Borden, Ontario. He is married to Christine Rioux and has 3 daughters: Hanako, Ariane and Naomie. Ben's daughters are a very strong source of motivation.
Ben started his training when he was 14 years old, and trained off and on throughout his football career. He began training seriously in October 2005, and after 1 1/2 years of pushing iron, decided to give Strongman a try. He began his strongman training in the spring of 2007, and impressed his training partners from the outset with his infectious enthusiasm, his quick grasp of techniques, and his excellent work ethic. Ben's first goal in strongman is to finish top 12 in the province.
Special thanks to Grant Buhr for teaching Ben everything a strongman should know.
