Re: SANCTIONED: Innisfil Celtic Festival - Sep 13th, 2014

I want to throw out a quick thank you to Sean, Grant and all the athletes for good time I had. The weather sucked but Sean had a great back up plan under the pavilion.

Maybe see if anyone will be driving in my area with a pickup truck and give them a few $$ for gas?

Re: Innsfil Celtic Festival

I had a blast there last year and want to go back. Unfortunately, I have a wedding to attend (well unfortunate may be the wrong word, but you all know what I mean). I'll be in Brantford, but thinking of Innisfil.

To everyone else out there, if you can make it, go to this. Sean puts a great show.

Re: Amateur or Pro discussion

If you have "pro", "expert" whatever guys sand-bagging at lower level shows, that sucks for the guys who belong in that class. Instead of bagging on the lower-level guys for being pussies, how about bagging on the high-level guy for being a trophy whore. The low level guys competing too far above hi...

I'll be putting on a strongman show just outside Buffalo, NY on June 15 at a German festival. Strength athletics and beer, what more could you want?

Re: Plate-loadable Circus DBs

I still have 3 of the 10.75" OD DB's ($150) and 1 of the 12.75" OD DB's ($180). I also have three thick handled, fixed weight DB's at 100, 125 and 150#. They are very small and dense for their weight, due to being steel encased lead, which is 50% heavier than an equal volume of steel. These are $1.5...

Re: Plate-loadable Circus DBs

B . Probably seems obvious, but it would be a good idea to contact Mike Landrich ahead of time to make sure he has time to fabricate enough of these. That is indeed a good idea, as I rarely have 3 of anything taking up space in the shop; however, I just finished cutting the pieces for 4 of these, s...

Re: Plate-loadable Circus DBs

Hey mikw, what size plates can be loaded onto these two? Rauntenberg and I are looking at grabbing one that can handle 25 lb plates. Measure your 25's. The ID of the 10.75" is basically 10.25" and the 12.75 is 12.25" ID. But you need some slop to get them in and out. When you come down to get one, ...

Plate-loadable Circus DBs

I'm going to have a bunch of 10.75" and 12.75" Circus DBs available in the next few days. Unfortunately, I won't ship to Canada, but the price is so low, it might be worth your drive to come get one. Pick up is $150 for the 10.75 and $180 for the 12.75". The pic is of one of the 10.75" ones, but the...

I have the an economy set and can make a set of the 4". The square tube FW/Frame is gone and would be expensive to make another.
