I thought it would be neat to throw together some records since the year 2000 for Ontario Strongman. This will help as time goes on in time progress of the athletes can be charted.

I took these numbers from the OSA site and i didnt have access to any other contest results except the 2011 OSM qualifier from the forum (i also didnt have them from dubreuilville 2010 or OSM 2010). Please PM me anything i have on here that is incorrect or any other events you think should be posted on here. Majority of these were set in dubreuilville or at an OSM.

The one stipulation i used is that the Athlete must be lifting in an Ontario contest, and must reside in Ontario.

For the standard DL, Hoe-dawg pulled 750 last year at OSM and Luke and myself both got 725. Stick that in your record player and spin it!

That's correct. If you fight back, you have a big ego. You should bow to your superiors.

I will say this.

Quickest to higher level top 12 osm.- Karl hjojhjkk

Nobody has done what you have coming from nothing in just 2 to 3 months. I look at the top in ontario athletes now and after a couple months they were nowhere near to hitting 300lb logs or smashing 350 stones for reps, finishing 300lb FW and hitting a 900lb tire for 6 the first time out.

Your still a girly pussy though.

Funniest guy on the forum: Maybe Brent Chiccicincincinciiiicnini, AKA The Pied Piper of Poon. I cry every time this guy opens his mouth.

Most longwinded: Probably me.

Only 2 guys to ever load the EOSS "Egg": Paul and Luke. Paul lapped it at about 230 pounds (retarded) at the Power of Dads around 2006, then Luke was the first to load it at OSM 2010, and Paul beat his time a few minutes later.

Most Progress in the last year: Probably Lance.

Most Basic Program: Probably Lance, or maybe Adam.

Worst Problem with Profanity: Probably me, maybe Paul on a heated rant.

Biggest Fucking Douche: Think we covered this one, but it bears repeating. What a Fucking Homo.

Quietest/Most Dangerous: Probably Eric R. I don't even know if he realizes his potential.

Closest Kaz Impression: D

Most Intelligent Training: Hate to say it, but maybe Professor Dumbshit.

Sexiest: Rob Orec. Mmmmmm .....

Ben,

Go to the results page. There is a record of all comps in Ontario since 2000.

This isn't a record per se, and neither is most of what I said above, but the craziest conditioning and recovery I've ever seen in this sport belonged hands down to Steve Stackpole.

Great guy, a great Dad, and an absolute Met-Con machine. Read his blog sometime, particularly before he retired, and try to duplicate it sometime. And no, it's not bullshit. I've trained with him. Admittedly not the strongest man around at the time, but certainly not below average, and in exponentially greater shape.

I know that there are guys on this forum, notably Paul V, who have excellent events-specific conditioning and recovery and wicked events speed and intensity, maybe better than Steve, but overall Steve was and still is very reminiscent of Jack La Lanne, just a lot bigger. Extremely impressive given that he does a lot of climbing, biking, etc., and never really specialized on this sport.
