2013 Oktoberfest Bavarian Strongman Challenge

Athletes, still working on details to confirm this years event.

We are moving down the street to a higher volume traffic area and need to confirm some logistics early next week. The planned date is Saturday October 12th, 11 am to 6pm, King St ( TBA)

There will be 5 events: head to head tire flip 825lbs, log press - reps, stone pentagon, farmers walk and car deadlift (backup - super yoke , truck pull). Subject to change and not necessarily in this order.

Registration Fee - $75, includes contest shirt, beverages, food voucher, possible Oktoberfest event ticket (TBA).
Don't send any applications or fees until I post the event officially through the OSM website.

Athletes limited to 16.

We don't have a hotel sponsor this year as the Delta Hotel is revamping and only has 74 rooms , all booked by Molsons.

Call out for able bodied, experienced volunteers, for setup, event, and tear down. Shirt, food , drinks and front row centre stage at the event, let me know via PM or powerfest.prod@gmail.com!

Show is a go! New Venue, new location, right near the Bier Garten!!! Great for the crowds, great for the athlete after party!!

"We are excited to be moving the venue to the heart of Oktoberfest, Willkommen Platz at the corner of King and Frederick Street. This situates the event in the hub of the action for the downtown Oktoberfest Experience. Willkommen Platz features weekend entertainment, displays & activities, food, beverages and Bier Garten as well as souvenirs and visitor information"

Event plan thus far:

head to head tire flip 825lbs 100'
log press -275lbs reps from ground.
stone pentagon 270, 290, 300, 330, 360, 56" pedestals
farmers walk head to head - 275lbs a hand
car deadlift - 650-700 at hands (tab)
(backup - super yoke , truck pull)

I'll come out and end my 2013 season on this show if John is willing to have me and I'll take out Bruce M while I'm at it. I also heard Ben Thompson's sponsors were asking him to make the trip to this show but he was reluctant to sign on out of fear that me and Bruce would beat him??????????? I understand your fear Benny as Bruce and I have been putting up some badass numbers in training but if you gonna be a REAL pro you gotta be ready to step to all challengers.
