The Iron Label Strongman 2014 @ The Toronto Pro SuperShow

Hi Everyone,

I’m very excited to be announcing the Iron Label Strongman is returning to the Toronto Pro SuperShow this year.

If you are interested in competing at this event please email me at torey[at]ironlabel.net for the registration form and payment details . Only once I have received payment will you be secured a competition spot. Payment is non-refundable and spaces are limited.

Date, Sunday June 1, 2014 @ 11:00am-4:00pm

This will be an OSA sanctioned event
Intermediate Level
Head Judge will be Paul Vaillancourt

Entry Fee: $65.00

Each competitor will receive a competition Tshirt and gift bag with prizes

Events:

1. People Deadlift (This event will be performed with a car deadlift apparatus retrofitted to hold people. Most likely will be a rising bar format. Weight TBA)
2. Sandbag carry for distance (200lbs)
3. Stone over a bar for reps (300lb stone)
4. Heavy Yoke Carry (between 600-700lbs) 40ft with a drop turn at 20ft
5. Circus Dumbbell for reps (125lb dumbbell) This is the final event and will take place on the main stage.

Weights and events are subject to change without notice.

Money prize for top 3.
1st - $250
2nd - $150
3rd - $100

I'm not planning on releasing the athlete list until right before the event. I like to keep the suspense! but yes its filling up extremely fast. I only have 2-3 spots left!

Hey Torey, any updates on this competition? Like... when, where, and how the athletes are getting into the venue?

Majik, it's at the Toronto Convention Center North Building Level 300 Hall A-B Sunday June 1, 2014 @ 11:00am-4:00pm. Unless there have been changes from 2013 they have lists of athlete names at the ticket booths at the bottom of the escalator which is the entrance to the Expo let them know you are there and they will give you your pass, guests/family/friends/entourage all have to buy tickets to get in. Go up the escalator and the Strongman area should be just behind you when you get to the top and will be easy to spot. Perhaps not the professional rockstar treatment you receive at the international competitions you do in the USA and such but after all it is just a "Shit Show" in Canada right? I'm sure your making a celebrity guest appearance to get a "warm up" in on all the guys will greatly elevate the prestige and status of this years show though.
