Celtic Festival Strongman and The Ontario Strongest Women
September 13th, 2014 - Innisfil Beach Park, Innisfil Ontario

Prize money is 1000 dollars for first prize for each the Men's winner and the Women's winner. If we get a higher number of entrants than we've had in the last two years that will add in prizes for the top 3. The women's event is the Ontario Strongest Women 2014.
We will have room for a maximum of 15 athletes per field. Ask those that have competed here how great the event is, event, and crowds. Anyone needing a place to stay must let me know by August 15th. Billet will be provided for those that need it. We will be looking for those that are available to take part in a press event on a one hour show about the festival late in August. Those who want to train events prior too are welcome too any Sunday at 2pm at the shed in Innisfil.

Heavy farmers - straight shot 80 feet - on grass - weight TBD - 300-350
Tire Flip - 800lbs

Log Press - 270-300 for reps
Heavy Caber - starting at 350 pounds - descending weight.

Been asked about the heavy caber again. It is much like a fingals finger if no one picks it. The idea is that it starts very long and very tall. Starts with the max weight. If no one picks with the first weight it goes to fingals finger. If anyone picks it up at the heaviest weight then we stay with picks. We then cut one foot off for every round until everyone has picked it.
If you want to see a pick look up caber toss. The pick refers to pick up prior to flip on the standard caber toss. Heavy caber is a much older event and seldom done due lack of length of wood. We've got the length so we go heavy.
