Bavarian Strongman Challenge - Oktoberfest 2014

Athletes, the 7th annual Bavarian Strongman Challenge will be held during 2014 Oktoberfest on October 11th, noon to 6pm, Downtown Kitchener, rain or shine.

There will be 6 events:

1) Head to head tire flip 825lbs - 100'
2) Axel press (reps from chest 265lbs), Double dip, split jerk allowed, can set down and clean to press again
3) Farmers Walk, 275lb, 200'
4) Super Yolk, rising bar, 800lb start, rising bar weight by (50-70lbs each step, depending on my plate availability), athlete must pick up and walk 20', to progress to next stage.
5) Car Deadlift, 650-700lbs at handles, reps.
6) 5 stone pentagon

Events subject to change and not necessarily in this order.

Registration Fee - $75, includes contest shirt, beverages, food voucher, possible Oktoberfest event ticket (TBA).

Athletes limited to 16.

Top athletes can top up their winnings, while all athletes have a chance to pocket some prize money on individual events.

Powerfest Productions is excited to announce that we now have Rockstar Energy on board as a sponsor for the event. I have tickets for Bingemans Kool Haus event Saturday night, one per athlete or volunteer, only if they are going themselves. There is typically leftover tickets (no guarantee) which we can distribute fairly for friends/family.

I have 25% discount coupons for Crabby Joes, one per athlete/volunteer ( per couple) for after event dinner. Drinks will be provided for athletes, as well as Rockstar has a 10 x 20 display tent with lots of Rockstar beverages!!

Athletes, bring your own lawn chair, and sharpie and your own food for day of show. Plan to arrive no later then 10:30am to register and then rules meeting will be approximately 11am with your host referee Grant Buhr.

Great show as always John. Nice to see some familiar faces again and to compete with old friends. This contest had a good payout, steady rotating crowd and lots of fun afterwards.
