Are there any gyms with strongman equipment near downtown Toronto or pretty accessible by transit from downtown?
I've heard that Fortis Fitness is supposed to be pretty good. Is that my best bet?

Fortis is your best bet as no one really has a selection of strongman equipment in any commercial gym in Toronto. Most of the gear there is mine and the owner Sean is all about building stronger athletes.

Sunday mornings at 6am include strongman training and also there is a weightlifting trainer to teach cleans, jerks, snatches etc.

The life by design in London Ontario changed ownership and is now name Hybrid training system center, it's a great gym and has everything you'd need for strongman except tires and heavy stones unfortunately. Also a great community of people who do not fuck around when it come to training.
