the only crew close enough would be Andy in Woodstock and that will be about 1:45-2 hours drive for him...

Who lives in the North Bay area. Brent, I think you're close by? I'm likely moving there for work in the next few months. Anyone else close by?

I'd be willing to trade locations occassionally. Barrie is about 2.5 hours. I could make it to NBay at least once a month.

Setting up a garage gym ready for training.
Free intro then a small user fee thereafter to help pay off for the gym.
You should stop by. Strength/powerlifting, functional stuff.
Resista Bands, Chains, Sleds, power rack, reverse hyper machine for low back health, kettlebells as well as hammers , tires,Armwrestling table etc.

With the current state of clubs here I've decided to do my own thing and train people differently than common gyms .
It's actually kind of a sad thing since going to the GYM (yes G - Y - M not fitness or toning program. Like the one that I spent my teen and early 20's training at which kept me out of trouble and constructively doing something and gave me an identity then and peers and mentors which is absolutely important then and now. )

Something that got lost somewhere in the current state in my opinion.
Time to get that back! If it still can be had.

Doing this because of love training people and seeing them get better at their goals rather than just the almighty $$$.

I even have a mascot! :-P

Sounds good Jeff. Working in a commercial gym does take a lot of the "soul" out of the training.

That could work out too. Especially leading up to the big shows.

This question was asked already, but that was three years ago so I'm asking again.

Are there any strongman training groups in the Guelph, Tri-city area, I would also be willing to make the commute to the GTA.

I am a former football player and I intially got into football because it was a way to put my incessant weight lifting to use. After being forced into early retirement from football I took about 4 and a half months off and I have recently returned to the gym. I would like to start training for strongman events in January sometime after I have reacquired some of my strength and plan to compete starting this spring

Thanks
