I would like to thank everyone for your interest in The World's Strongest Man Affiliate Program, The World's Strongest Man Amateur Series, and The World's Strongest Man Certification.

Due to an enormous amount of inquiries, I will do my best to answer all of the questions in this one email and will happily take more questions in the future.

1. The World's Strongest Man Affiliate Program

Starting July 23rd, a total of 30 Affiliate licenses will be sold to the general public. You will be able to purchase a license on that day. The license fee will be announced @ $3,000 per year. The sale of the licenses will be done on a first come - first serve basis through our website. The next batch of licenses will be available in January 2012. With a license you will be able to open a new facility, convert your existing facility, or add the WSM training program to your existing facility. You will have a chance to be one of the first World's Strongest Man Training Centers in the world. With a license you will have presence on our new website (which is currently under construction), and you will be eligible to host The World's Strongest Man Amateur Series event at your facility. With this license you will have the right to call your self an Official WSM Training Center and you will receive the WSM logo for your signs and banners. In order to open a WSM Training Center you will also need to be certified. This is a must. There will be requirements to open a WSM Training Center and not anyone will get a license. Those with a license will be protected and will receive a specific exclusive area where no other WSM Training Center will be allowed to operate (depending on the location). Any "normal" training facility will have no problems getting a license. Someone's garage will not get one. You get the point.

2. The World's Strongest Man Certification

The first Certification will be announced on July 23rd - it will take place in Fort Lauderdale, Florida - September 23rd-25th. The schedule is as follows: Friday September 23rd: 2-3 hour "meet and greet" session in the evening (not a requirement). Saturday: 9am-6pm; Sunday: 9am-5pm.The fee for the certification is set @ $2,000. There is a limit of 30 Certifications available the first 6 weeks. The registration for the certification will be done on a first come -first serve basis through our website. You will be able to pay for the registration on July 23rd.

3 Professional Strongman will instructing the certification. Nick Best, Jason Bergmann, and Dave Ostlund will teach you all of the strongman moves, assistance exercises, training methodologies, etc. There will be other specialists at the certification who will educate you on mobility, rehab, pre-hab, etc. Programming will be discussed in detail. You do not need to open a WSM Training Center if you do not desire to do so. The Certification process will teach you everything you need to know about the Strongman sport. You will learn how to train for the events and the competitions and you will receive knowledge on how to progress with your training (programming, etc). Not everyone will receive a certificate. You will need to demonstrate physical and personal skills in addition general knowledge of the program.

3. The World's Strongest Man Amateur Series

The World's Strongest Man Amateur Series will consist of 8-10 series events throughout the United States. The first one will take place in Las Vegas beginning of October. The first location will have one heavyweight class for men only, however, the next 7-9 locations will have the following classes: Men: 160 and under; 161-180; 181-200; 201-230; 231-265; 265+ (+ anyone wishing to compete in the) heavyweight class Women: 140 and under; 141-160; 160+ Masters Men: Open Class The winner of each weight class will have the opportunity to compete in The World's Strongest Man National Amateur Championship. The weights will be manageable for all classes except for the heavyweight class for men which will require some brute strength.

To answer some of the other questions... 1. You do not have to live in the US to open a WSM Training Center. You can be the first in England, France, Canada, etc. 2. You DO have to be certified to open a Training Center. 3. You can get certified for your self in order to receive general knowledge. 3. Anyone can compete in the Amateur Series.

We will be very diligent in making sure that only qualified individuals receive Affiliate Licenses and get certified as WSM Certified Instructors. We will keep the integrity of this sport to the highest standards and will expectthe same from everyone else.
