Ottawans - anyone want a big tire?

Have a large tire just sitting in my garage (Goodyear 26.5 R25 L-5) that I can't lift and my wife wants it out, etc. etc.. It's free - you just need to come get it. Will also consider trading for something in the 800 lb range if anyone's looking to get rid of one..

I found a guide on Goodyears OTR site that had shipping weights in it - and for that spec, they showed it at 1498 lbs... but from what I learnt from others, it could be anywhere from 900 - 2000 lbs. I'm guessing closer to 1000 though. When it was dropped off, it was leaning against my smaller tire at about a 30 degree angle, and I was able to push it over from there - it's getting it off the ground that's the problem!

I just ran a competition in Avonmore with a 550lb. tire and a 777 lb. tire. I need something heavier. I am about 45 min. from Ottawa, and could pick it up this week, as we have another show coming up in September. What are you asking for it?

I competed yesterday and thanks for a great competition.

If you want to come out here next weekend (7/22 to 24) let me know and I'll get you directions and we can set a time. I'm exactly 45 minutes from the Avonmore fair site.

Hey, Darren! Thanks for coming down to the competition. The other guys (Dave, Scott and Shawn) went back to my place for a beer after the competition, and we all commented on how impressed we were with your performance. You have great promise in this sport. Maybe I can just "borrow" the tire until you need it, because the way you did the one at the show makes me think it won't be long until you can toss yours around, too. If you miss it, you can always come and visit- we always enjoy having folks come to train with us.
I start vacation this Friday. The weekend would be a good time to come down and pick it up. Where exactly are you?

Sounds like a plan and thanks for the feedback! That was my second competition and I'm loving it.

I'm in Orleans -> 138 - 417 W, exit at Vars, Frank Kenny Rd to Orleans..
